A senior Obama administration official warned Russian leaders Sunday not to send armed forces into Ukraine to restore what they see as a compliant government, urging them to reject a Cold War view of the tumult in Ukraine as a struggle between East and West. 国总统奥巴马的国家安全顾问赖斯(Susan Rice)周日告诫俄罗斯领导人不要向乌克兰派遣军队来重建亲俄派政府，呼吁俄罗斯方面放弃冷战思维，不要把乌克兰的乱局视为东西方之间的一场角力。

Ms. Rice's remarks came after bloody street protests in Ukraine culminated this weekend in pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych's decision to leave the capital of Kiev. 赖斯发表上述看法之前，乌克兰亲俄派总统亚努科维奇(Viktor Yanukovych)决定离开首都基辅，导致乌克兰街头的血腥抗议活动周末期间达到了白热化的程度。
Ms. Rice said that Mr. Yanukovych's whereabouts are 'not known at the present.'
